We are from Upstate New York around the Binghamton area. We have a long collective history of experience and musical abilities.
We like a good groove, lots of jamming and killer guitar work on top of honest vocals.

The GBB has it roots in a local band called "Rusty Still". At places like the Blue Moon, The Barleycorn and T.J O'Malleys we began our live playing in the mid 80's thru the early 90's with Nick, myself and our childhood friend and drummer Jamie Lane. After Jamie's tragic passing in 1994, Nick began to play full time in his College band, Frostbit Blue, and we drifted apart musically.
Recently at a one-off show in Jamie's Memory, we decided to do some local gigs around here...Thus began the Gravelding Brothers Band.
Nick's command of the vocal stylings of Greg Allman, Doug Gray and Ronnie Van Zant allow us to play a wide range of southern rock favorites including, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker, Outlaws, The Allman Brothers and the like. Nick is also the lead vocalist & guitarist in a very popular New York State Band originally hailing from Oswego called Frostbit Blue. Nick's guitar playing is also one of the strong points of the band. His influences range of course from Duane Allman, Toy Caldwell, Hughie Thomassen, Dicky Betts, Eric Clapton as well as many others.
My playing, Scott Gravelding, also comes from the same fertile rock guitar ground of the 70's with the added influences of Jeff Beck, lot's of Blues players..ie..the 3 Kings (BB, Freddie and Albert) and SRV and some good 80's metal players like Randy Rhoads and Eddie Van Halen.
Our combination in guitars is always easy as brothers and we strive to seamlessly weave our playing into the context of this band.
Brother Benny's bass playing is always grooving, melodic and rumbling in the great tradition of Berry Oakley, Jack Bruce, Paul McCartney and others. Benny is the owner of a local music store called "Music City" and has played with many people including his band "Brothers of the Road". His good time feel and world class musicianship keeps us rooted and is always a potent sound in our mix. Benny is also the bass player in Frostbit Blue as well.

Recently (June 2019) we added a new drummer and vocalist to the GBB. Pete Bernard has been a mainstay of the local Greater Binghamton scene for many years.
Pete has a wide influences including the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and The Eagles (among others).  He started playing in 1966, taking lessons from his eventual father-in-law, Enricco Zizzi.  Pete has played in many bands in the area including: Hurt Locker, Jon David's Mood, Ricco Zizzi, Gateway, Teazer, Smokehouse, Unplugged, Hi-Way Fruit Market and B3.
To quote Pete: "I am honored to join The Gravelding Brothers.  Our history goes back to the early 80's when the two guitar wizards sat in with Hurt Locker at the storied Apalachin Hotel (now the Ransom Steele Tavern).  They were impressive then and they are the stuff of legend now.  Couldn't be happier to be collaborating with musicians of this caliber.  I am blessed." We couldn't agree more and are thankful to have you in the lineup.

We specialize in good musical interactive between ourselves..We are unafraid to improvise, change, make these songs our own in terms of arrangements and we have alot of fun doing it.
We are starting to incorporate some original material and look forward to introducing it into out live set......
STAY TUNED !!...and wear your hat!
